What Is Microdosing?

Microdosing is the practice of taking sub-perceptual doses of psilocybin — typically 1/10th to 1/20th of a recreational dose — on a structured schedule.

The Fadiman Protocol

Developed by Dr. James Fadiman: dose on Day 1, skip Day 2 (observation), skip Day 3 (rest), repeat. This 1-on, 2-off cycle prevents tolerance buildup.

Every-Other-Day

A simpler alternative — dose every other day. More intuitive for some, though tolerance may build faster.

Finding Your Dose

Start with 50–100mg dried Psilocybe cubensis. Adjust by 25mg increments until you find the sweet spot — the dose you forget you’ve taken until you notice the benefits.

Track Your Experience

Keep a journal: dose, timing, mood, focus, creativity, side effects. Review after 4 weeks to optimize your protocol.

Safety First

Do not microdose if pregnant, nursing, taking MAOIs or SSRIs without medical supervision, or if you have a personal or family history of psychosis. Consult a healthcare practitioner first.
